The Reverso’s history has been driven by several generations of mechanical movements, yet it wasn’t until the last decade of the 20th century that complications were introduced. From then on, the creative imagination of the watchmakers who would go on to create complicated movements especially for the rectangle cased Reverso, was set free. At this time, it wasn’t yet the era of large cases as it is today and implementing horological complications in such small spaces constituted a veritable tour de force of miniaturisation.
